Lawrence "Larry" E. Oberlee age 75 of Lapeer, MI passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at McLaren Region Hospital. A private Mass of the Christian Burial will be held for the family. Arrangements are being handled by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel.

Lawrence Edward Oberlee was born April 24, 1945 in Lapeer, a son of Lawrence E and Catherine (Dwyer) Oberlee. On October 16, 1965 he married Mary Shrader. Larry was an active member in the KofC for many years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, storytelling, singing, and played several musical Instruments. He led various 50's and 60's rock and roll bands over 50 years playing weddings, festivals, taverns, and parties across Michigan. Many remember Larry as the life of the party who would go out of his way to make a stranger a welcomed friend. He would always have your back. Prior to his retirement, he had worked in sales for 50 years.

Larry is survived by his wife, Mary Oberlee; children, James L. Oberlee and Julie L. (Jason) Bigelow; grandchildren, Zane, Jaden and McKenna; and sister-in-law, Denise (Bruce) Shrader-Kern. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Oberlee and brother, Daniel Oberlee.
