Today, there are five local news sites and a lifestyle site serving Shiawassee County communities, a local news site serving Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties, and a local news site serving Hillsdale and Lenawee counties in southern Michigan and Fulton and Williams counties in northern Ohio; all part of The Durand Now Network of local news websites.
Not to mention a podcast, an online museum and an email subscription-based weekly newspaper.
It has been a steady stream of growth in all areas since DurandNow.com went live in September of 2012; more site traffic, more stories read, more social followers, more passion, more recall and more revenue, each and every year.
But more doesn't necessarily mean enough.
There's more to the story! Keep reading!
While there has been exciting growth over each of the past 7 years, The Durand Now Network has never produced the amount of revenue necessary to operate fully on its own. This is most likely due to the fact that there has never been a consistent, hard sales initiative. For the past seven years, our focus has been building brands.
This year's focus is hustle.
In 2020 we will push local sales on each site harder than we ever have. There are individual expectations for the performance of each site, commensurate with its own local market and media landscape, and the length of time each has been serving its community.
Durand Now launched September 1st 2012. Since that time, there has been more than two million page views.
Advertising rates start at less than $75 per month for a full color cube ad with link. The reach Durand Now has is extremely competitive with all Shiawassee County news media, and you can reach our audience at a fraction of what you'll invest elsewhere.
