Durand’s Railroad Person of the Year for 2020 is Stan Dungerow, a GTW/CN retiree. Dungerow was chosen Tuesday, March 3rd, by a selection committee composed of past Railroad Persons of the Year.

Dungerow will receive his award at an honoring ceremony on Friday evening, May 15th, in the Durand Union Station Grand Ballroom. He will also ride in the Durand Railroad Days Festival parade on Saturday, May 16th, and following that will return to Durand Union Station for a reception. Both the ceremony and reception are open to all present and past railroad employees. Railroad Person of the Year is an annual Durand tradition dating back to 1977 and is sponsored by Durand Union Station, Inc.
