Longtime Businessman Ken Canfield Passed Away This Week; Funeral for Pat Post Saturday At First Congregational Church

The funeral service for longtime community advocate and four-plus decade Grand Trunk/Canadian National railroad employee, Pat Post, will be Saturday at First Congregational Church in Durand, beginning at 11am.
Post was honored with the Citizen of the Year award at the Greater Durand Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Dinner held at Dutch Hollow Golf Club this past April.
Post passed away on September 12th. She was 76.

Longtime local businessman, Ken Canfield, passed away on September 16th. Canfield most recently owned My Can LLC, in partnership with his sons and nephews, but has owned and operated businesses in the Durand area for 50 years, including Crossroads Bar & Grill. A celebration of life will be held at the Durand VFW Hall on Sunday September 30th from 2 to 6pm.
Stephen Doyle, Sr. passed away on September 4th. Doyle worked for GT&E and Frontier for more than forty years and was also known by many through his longtime involvement with the Durand Marching Railroaders as a band parent. He also coached various sports teams for his six children. Stephen Doyle, Sr. was the brother-in-law of Durand Mayor Deb Doyle. He was laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetary in Vernon.
