Governor Signs Declaration Ahead of Life-Threatening Cold Days

Governor Whitmer has declared a State of Emergency for the State of Michigan ahead of several days with anticipated temps struggling to break the zero degree mark and winds the could approach 40 miles per hour. The combination could mean life-threatening wind chill values lower than 40 degrees below zero in some places of the state.

In Durand, Wednesday and Thursday morning wind chill values are expected to be 26 to 31 degrees below zero.
