Bits and pieces of one family's story of survival during the March 14th tornado have been heard, but a GoFundMe established for the family whose house crumbled in the storm details their incredible ordeal, and it comes complete with shocking photos and even video from inside the destroyed home.

The GoFundMe page was created by the cousin of Aaron Hinkley, but Jen Rix says Aaron's not just her cousin, he's her first best friend.

Rix describes the evening of March 14th.  With no advanced warning at all, Aaron sees the tornado coming and tries to rush everyone to the safest space in the home; a crawl space accessible via the garage.  But it's too late.  The storm has destroyed the garage and the rubble made it impossible to enter.  Aaron used his body to shield his girlfriend, Jessica, and her eight year old daughter, Haylee, as the walls crumbled around them.

Miraculously, all three survived, and were able to climb out of the rubble after the storm passed.  But the home, which was underinsured, is a complete loss.

Aaron Hinkley asked Durand Now to share the GoFundMe page with you, in hopes that you might contribute and share with your friends, to help cover the costs of demolition and rebuilding.
