Public Invited to Chamber Luncheon; Countywide Updates

The Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Durand Area Chamber of Commerce will co-host a special, countywide Topics@Twelve chamber luncheon. The event will be held on Tuesday, November 27th at the beautifully decorated Durand Union Station. Catering will be provided by Union Station Smoke House.

 The final lunch event of the year will feature updates from leaders around Shiawassee County. Speakers include: Mayor Chuck Kerridge, City of Corunna ; Colleen O’Toole, Durand City Manager; Paula Willoughby, Laingsburg City Treasurer and Nathan Henne, Owosso City Manager.  

Doors open at 11:45 a.m., the event begins at noon and concludes by 1:00 p.m. Program admission is $12 per person for any chamber member and $15 per person for non-members. The public is invited to attend.  

AHP, PLLC and Oxford Bank are the November business sponsors of the Topics@Twelve event. RSVP’s for the luncheon are requested by Monday, November 26th by calling the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce office at 989-723-5149 or the Durand Chamber of Commerce at 989-288-3715.

UPDATE: A Friday afternoon update from Durand Superintendent Craig McCrumb advises that after conducting interviews and reviewing videotape, Durand police and school officials have determined the stranger danger incident that was reported to have happened along a service drive on Durand schools property did not happen as it was reported.
