Lennon Benefit Softball Tourney Cancelled

Organizers Cancel Veterans Park Fundraising Event

UPDATE: Organizers have postponed the softball tourney, saying one will be held later in the summer.

-

Come out and play some ball on April 28th to raise money for the Lennon Veterans Park.

It's a 6/4 Co-ed softball tourney at Optimist Park on Durand's south side; 2 girls in the outfield at all times. All rules are posted on the Friends of Doyle Knight Facebook page. So get to putting your team together!

Games will begin at 9am and continue until 5pm.

The entry fee is $200, Double Elimination.

It'll be a day of softball, reminiscing and raising funds for a great cause. Families, businesses and everyone else is welcome to this community event. Concessions will be available, plus there will be corn hole and, of course, there's a fun playground at Optimist Park.

If you don't want to play, donations will be accepted.
