The Durand Lioness Club is once again sponsoring the contest for the 2019 Durand Railroad Days Princess. Vying for this year’s Princess title is Molly Hull and Sophia Latreille. Each contestant designs her own canister to collect votes at her sponsor’s place of business. Voting will begin Friday, February 8th and ends Friday, February 22nd. Each penny collected counts as one vote. All money collected by this year’s contestants will go to help the local community and Lioness State and District projects. Please vote when you see a canister in a local sponsoring business.
The contestant that collects the most votes will be announced at the 2019 Royalty Crowning Ceremony on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Durand Union Station. The 2019 Railroad Days Princess will represent the 44th Annual Railroad Days Festival held on May 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th 2019 the weekend after Mother’s Day. The Railroad Days Princess will appear in various parades, community functions, and with the Durand Lioness Club throughout the year.
