Uplift Shiawassee celebrates the World Premiere of Ledger's new video for "Completely."  Watch it now at UpShia.com!

Since Uplift Shiawassee launched on November 1st 2014, our mission has been to deliver uplifting content. And while nearly five years later, the mission is unchanged, we are constantly reevaluating everything we do.

Regularly, we have to ask ourselves if what we're doing is valuable and effective, and we have to ask if how we're doing the things we're doing makes sense.  This constant self-critiquing helped us arrive at a recent reinvention of our "Good News" website.

The other element that brought us to this "format change" is, simply, the evolution of things.

First there was radio. Then video killed the radio star. Then the video channel killed the video star.

But then... the internet.

Today, most new music discovery happens on YouTube.  So, in addition to delivering to you uplifting local stories, we're making it even easier for you to find great new music, with the launch of what may be the very first of its kind: a local, on demand, online music video channel.

Since the mission of Uplift Shiawassee is to...uplift Shiawassee... that's the only kind of music you're going to see and hear.

At the new Uplift Shiawassee, you will find a "professionally" (term used loosely) curated, regularly updated music video playlist that taps into all genres to share with you both classic music videos and the newest, hottest uplifting artists and songs.

The best part? It's all ON DEMAND. We just point you to the video. You hit play - ONLY - if you want to!

Because Uplift Shiawassee is Michigan-made, we'll be showing favor to the locals, and we'll be using a brand new experimental research concept to help make sure our playlists best represent the tastes of Shiawassee County.

The new Uplift Shiawassee is Songs and Stories "Worth Sharing."

Jennifer Ledger, drummer for the band Skillet, has a new solo project out, and she just released a brand new music video for her song "Completely."

The song's chorus proclaims "You are the One who loves me completely, In a world that's full of mysteries, One thing is simple as can be, You are the One who loves me completely."

One of the song's lyrics that is particularly fitting as we highlight the new Uplift Shiawassee; Ledger sings "You have called new life up from the dust," and "
From who I was, who I am, and who I'll be, I am changed."

We're excited to celebrate the World Premiere of the video that was unveiled on Wednesday.  You can check it out here!
