Tipsters made us aware of a school bus vs. car crash on Tuesday afternoon. Durand Superintendent Craig McCrumb told Durand Now that it was a Shiawassee RESD bus, not a Durand bus, and that there were no kids on board.
Sheriff BeGole was able to confirm that the bus was traveling eastbound on Lansing Road when a car also traveling eastbound on Newburg Road pulled in front of the bus. The crash caused minor damage to both vehicles and there were no injuries. He also affirmed there were no students on the bus.
We've reached out to Shiawassee RESD for additional information.

Supermarket chain was the destination for grocery-getting for 80 years, until stores began to close after an embezzlement and bankruptcy scandal, and an eventual sale to the McColgan family, who operated remaining stores before selling to Al Kessel, former Hamady Vice President, in 1991.
