Snow continues to fall throughout southern lower Michigan and it's taking its toll on drivers.  Michigan State Police is asking you to stay off the road if you don't absolutely have to be out.

As of 2:00pm on February 9th 2018, the following closures are active:

  • EB 69 at Exit 123 (M-13/Sheridan Ave.) CLOSED

  • WB 69 at Exit 149 (Elba Road) CLOSED

  • WB 69 at Exit 94 (BL-69/Saginaw Hwy) CLOSED

  • NB 23 at Exit 80 (Silver Lake Road) CLOSED

  • WB 96 at Exit 117A (Williamston Road.) CLOSED

  • EB 94 at Exit 80 (Sprinkle Road) CLOSED


The crash on NB 75 at Exit 164 has now been cleared.

Durand Area Couple: Individual With Health Challenges and Their Caregiver In Great Need, Respite Volunteers Hoping to Connect Them With Assistance

Helen Howard, Executive Director of Respite Volunteers of Shiawassee, has informed Durand Now that an area couple are in a tight spot. The caregiver and They need help with the following: repairing a ceiling, repairing a heater so they can use the washing machine that was frozen last week in a room with no heat and repairing flooring that has heat lines in it.  If you are interested in helping the family, please call the Respite Volunteers office at 725-1127.
