Operation Freedom is an annual event held by Durand Area Schools Operation Freedom Committee. The event will be held this year on October 5th when the Durand football program hosts the Montrose Rams. Monies raised from the event will stay locally and be distributed to our Amvets and VFW Post to be given to any local Veteran in need.
The Operation Freedom Committee is giving one business the chance to be connected to this special event in a very special way. It is an unmatched opportunity for a local business to support local veterans, support local athletics, support the community and reach a large local audience with a positive image and message about your business.
The Operation Freedom Committee is accepting sealed bids from businesses who want to be the "Presenting Sponsor" of this year's event. The minimum bid is $2,500.
Mail sealed bids by April 25th to Operation Freedom III Committee, 10521 Monroe Road, Durand MI 48429.

It was a Flint staple, founded in 1911, and served residents of Flint, Owosso and other communities throughout the state. The 37 locations of the Hamady Bros. Supermarket chain was the destination for grocery-getting for 80 years, until stores began to close after an embezzlement and bankruptcy scandal, and an eventual sale to the McColgan family, who operated remaining stores before selling to Al Kessel, former Hamady Vice President, in 1991.
