There's more to the story! Keep reading!

Mrjoian is a Michigan native and a creative writing lecturer at the University of Michigan. His debut novel, Waterline, is a sweeping family epic that weaves the legacy of the Armenian Genocide into the story of an Armenian American family living on Grosse Ile.
Waterline centers on the Kurkjian family and its patriarch, Gregor, who survived the Musa Dagh resistance during the Armenian Genocide. More than a century later, Gregor’s descendants continue to grapple with questions of grief, family, and identity when one of his great-granddaughters swims into Lake Michigan with no intention of returning.

The Michigan Notable Book Author Tour event offers readers an opportunity to hear directly from Mrjoian about his novel, his writing, and the history and themes that shaped Waterline. A book signing will follow the author presentation.

This Michigan Notable Book Author Tour event is made possible through funding from The Library of Michigan, The Library of Michigan Foundation, and Michigan Humanities.

For more information or to register, visit www.mycdl.org/events or contact the Corunna Branch at 989-743-4800.
