Craighead’s presentations during the festival will include Honey – What Can’t It Do? and Honey – The Key Ingredient. These presentations will explore the many uses of honey and beeswax, including cooking, skincare, medicinal, and household applications, while also educating attendees about the incredible work of honeybees and beekeepers. Attendees will also enjoy a live cooking demonstration featuring honey as a versatile ingredient and learn how different honey varieties can offer unique flavors, aromas, and uses.
In addition to her appearances at the festival, Craighead will present a public educational program titled The Original Producers: Honeybees at the Vernon District Public Library on Thursday, July 16, at 5:00 p.m. The presentation will explore the historical relationship between humans and honeybees and how bees have been utilized for more than 9,000 years.
The Michigan Honey Festival is dedicated to educating the public about bees, beekeeping, pollinators, and agriculture while creating a fun, family-friendly community experience that brings people together from across Michigan and beyond.
The festival will take place July 18–19, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at the Shiawassee County Fairgrounds, located at 2900 Hibbard Road in Corunna, Michigan.
Visitors can expect a weekend full of honey tasting, educational experiences, shopping opportunities from a wide variety of vendors, live demonstrations, interactive activities, and opportunities to connect directly with beekeepers and pollinator advocates from throughout the region.
