To prepare for new updates and renovations, the store will temporarily close during the first week of November. Fable Lane Books & Games LLC will then host a public Grand Re-Opening celebration on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The community event, titled "Meet the Ladies of the Lane," will feature complimentary snacks and refreshments, interactive games, promotional favors, and a special prize raffle.

Fable Lane Books & Games LLC aims to cultivate a welcoming, family-friendly, and inclusive space for community members of all ages. The shop offers a wide variety of new and used books, board games, trading card games, and tabletop gaming supplies. Customers can also pre-order upcoming book titles or register their personal "To Be Read" (TBR) lists directly with the store to reserve future reads.

In addition to retail offerings, the store features a dedicated gaming space designed for casual play, organized community events, and family game nights. Visitors are invited to bring their own games or select from the store's extensive game library.

"We are thrilled to embark on this next chapter and continue building a vibrant, inclusive hub for readers and gamers in Shiawassee County," said co-owner Meagan Auge. "Whether you are stopping by for a new book, trying a novel board game with family, or joining a trading card tournament, we want everyone to feel right at home."

Following the Grand Re-Opening, new store hours will be 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily, with extended hours scheduled for select evening events.
