A small plane that departed from Ypsilanti earlier today was headed for Flint's Bishop airport. As the plane descended, a mechanical failure caused the engine to stall. The pilot was able to safely land the plane on the shoulder of I-69 near I-75, authorities say.

WATCH WITNESS VIDEO - Brooke Nichole captured and shared on Facebook the moment the plane touched down.
